Artist, entrepreneurs, sports persons and social workers - speakers from various walks of life cast a spell on the audience with their gritty stories at the first TEDx event hosted by IIM-Visakhapatnam at Four Points by Sheraton here on Saturday. The theme of the event revolved around the topic ‘Dream On’.

From working as a part-time employee at McDonalds to revolutionising the beauty industry with a franchise system, Jawed Habib spoke about his personal journey of turning a tabooed profession into a fashionable one. “You must dream and romanticise your dreams to achieve it,” he said.

Professor of IIM-Bangalore Ramya Ranganathan, spoke about how integrative thinking is a better option and helps an individual explore infinite options. Also a yoga teacher Ms Ranganathan said, “Creating experiences is important for any person because it is experiences that stay with people.”
