Files clearance week from May 16

As many as 33,064 files have been disposed of in the Collectorate, Special Officers’ offices, Revenue Divisional offices and Tehsildars’ offices in the district, while 10,564 files are pending till May 4.

The file clearance programme was taken up from February 1 at the instructions of the State government. The number of files not cleared till January 31 were 22,830 and 20,798 were added from February 1 to May 4, Collector N. Yuvaraj informed on Wednesday.

Special Officer

Files clearance week will be held in all Revenue offices from May 16 and Revenue (endowments) Special Chief Secretary J.S.V. Prasad who has been appointed as Special Officer for the district for files clearance would conduct a review on May 13 on file clearance and conducting the files clearance week.

Mr. Yuvaraj pointed out that clearance of Revenue Department’s files will take more time since most of them are involved with land issues like acquisition, encroachments and allocations.
