As part of reaching his objective of getting a Guinness record, Chelluri Satyanarayana, a goldsmith from the city, made a miniature wet grinder by using 1.25 grams of gold of the purity of 22 carat. Fourty-three-year old Satyanarayana has four Limca records to his credit for making miniature balances of the weight of 10 grams and 5 grams, miniature umbrella of five grams and miniature giant wheel of the weight of four grams.
After meeting the officials of Guinness Book of Records last year in Vijayawada, Mr. Satyanarayana began to work on miniature wet grinder. One with no electronics background, he made the miniature in a way that it could function with the help of three volt micro motor. The wet grinder is of a length of 15mm, width of 9mm and height of 5mm. “It took six months for me to work on the model and 15 days to make the final version,” Mr. Satyanarayana told reporters here on Thursday.
