Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana on Friday gave away 360 Employees State Insurance (ESI) cards to sanitation workers. Giving credit to the workers for keeping the city clean and getting it awards, he said it was the responsibility of the corporation to provide them the cards that would enable them to get treatment at ESI dispensaries without any hassle.

ESI contribution was being credited to the accounts concerned and a private agency was given the task of issuing the cards.

Soon another 1,650 cards will be issued to those in Zones 2, 3 and 4. EPF contributions would also be duly credited and slips issue to workers, Mr. Satyanarayana assured them.
