Enlightening experience for students of GITAM varsity

Talks on wide-ranging topics, inspirational stories from speakers who came from different parts of the country, creative innovations, and a vibrant exchange of ideas marked the third edition of the TEDx conducted by GITAM University on Saturday.

Scores of students gathered at the event venue to attend the day-long session and interact with 12 speakers who specialise in different sectors.

The speakers who took part in this year’s event were Gopichand Katragadda, CTO of Tata Group, Pranav Kumar Suresh, CEO of Start-up Village, Kochi, Rasika Chandrasekhar, flautist, Ashima Narain, photographer, Atamjeet Singh Bawa, scale paper modeller, Nilima Achwal, social entrepreneur, Shanno, Editor of Balaknama, Aakash Sinha, Founder of Omnipresent Robot Tech, Ramesh Loganathan, venture capitalist, Narayan Singh Rao of BJP Yuva Morcha, David Wittenberg, CEO, The Innovation Workgroup, and Mathew Spacie, Founder, Magicbus.

From sustaining and marketing business start-ups, pursuing a passion and turning it into a business model to social entrepreneurship, art and music as a creative expression and the evolving trends of photography – the speakers enlightened the students on various aspects while sharing their personal experiences during programme.

The speakers were felicitated by Vice-Chancellor of GITAM University G. Subrahmanyam, Principal of GITAM Institute of Technology Lakshmi Prasad, Registrar M. Potha Raju, and Director of Student Affairs K. Veera Bhadram.
