To get rid of the fear for mathematics and help the students with textbook syllabus, Visakha Study Circle (VSC) is organising a Maths Camp from Thursday.

Every year VSC organises three camps during summer, ‘Dasara’ and winter. Children from Class IV to X can participate and utilise the opportunity during the three-week winter camp.

Objective

The objective is to improve arithmetic accuracy along with speed, said mathematics expert and coordinator of the camp B.V.K. Babji. “Each child will have his or her own setback in maths. Some grasp it quickly while others take their own time to understand and respond. The training helps in getting rid of the fear and helps identify shortcuts, simple techniques, tips and tricks, apart from gaining mathematical proficiency. It also encourages children to participate in Olympiads and other talent tests,” he said. The camp is held between 9:30 a.m. and noon and further details can be had on 9948841652.
