ECoRSC criticises ‘anti-labour’ policies

East Coast Railway Shramik Congress president K.S. Murthy deplored the “anti-worker” attitude of the Centre.

Addressing a cadre meeting of the DRS branch office here on Wednesday, he spoke about the problems of railway employees and the efforts being made by the ECoRSC and NFIR to resolve them. The main demands of the employees were Interim Relief of the 7{+t}{+h}Pay Commission, merger of 50 per cent DA with basic pay, removal of the ceiling on bonus and doing away with the New Pension Scheme.

ECoRSC Divisional Coordinator Tammineni Narasinga Rao demanded filling of posts of driver, guard, senior loco pilot and loco pilot in Waltair Division.

Central leaders Ponnada Mohan Rao, Sampath Kumar, branch secretary D. Srinivasa Rao, president Ch. Venugopala Rao, union leaders Koteswara Rao, Satyanarayana and U. Eswara Rao were present.
