Dharna against Tsundur verdict on June 16

June 09, 2014 10:22 pm | Updated 10:23 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Opposing the high court acquitting the accused in the 1991 Tsundur killings, Dalit Hakkula Porata Samithi will organise a maha dharna at the collectorate on June 16.

Samithi district general secretary B. Venkatarao told reporters that the acquittal was against principles of natural justice. A special court had convicted 56 persons in the hacking to death of eight Dalits and sentenced 26 to life imprisonment. The June 16 dharna is part of state-wide protest.
