Essar Foundation, the CSR arm of Essar group, in association with The Hindu , will be organising a poster design contest for schoolchildren on April 22 on the occasion of Earth Day.
The contest will be held at the conference hall located above Andhra University Central Canteen.
The contest will be organised in two categories: Juniors from classes V to VII and seniors from classes VIII to X. The theme of the contest is ‘Green City’ and the one-and-a-half-hour contest will begin at 8.30 a.m.
Interested students should register by calling The Hindu office at 2536159 or 98494 98771 on working days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All the participants will be given participation certificates and the top three prize-winners will be awarded certificate of appreciation. The prizes and certificates will be given away by Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj.
