After inaugurating the AP Health Fest here on Thursday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will launch five health programmes in the State.
He will remotely launch the electronic sub centre in the tribal area and another 17 dialysis centres in the State.
“As of now we have 51 dialysis centres spread across the State and another 17 will be added on Thursday,” said Poonam Malakondaiah, Principal Secretary (Health).
Mobile teams
The CM will also launch the mobile health teams. In this system, Anganwadi centres will cater to the health needs of children from 0 to 18 years, with the help of the mobile teams.
“There will be 450 mobile teams equipped with diagnostic and treatment facilities. We intend to provide complete health check up for all children through these mobile teams at the anganwadi centres,” said Ms. Malakondaiah.
To curb the menace of baby stealing at hospitals, the CM will launch the new RFID (Radio-frequency identification) tagging system at government hospitals.
Giving details on this concept, Ms. Malakondaiah said, “Both the mother and the newborn will be given RFID tags and if anyone tries to move the baby without the knowledge of the mother, an alarm will go off.”
Apart from these, the CM will also launch the medical tourism concept.
