A job fair for qualified teachers will be conducted by the Department of Education in Andhra University in collaboration with Intel@Teach Program and Master Trainer Club, Visakhapatnam, at AU campus on May 27.
Announcing this at a media conference on Sunday, secretary of MTC Prasanta Kumar Panda said registration would start at 8.30 a.m. at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) in AU and the interviews would begin at 10 a.m. All D.Ed., B.Ed., B.Ed. (Special), B.P.Ed., M.A. (Education), M.P.Ed., graduates could attend. There is no fee charged on either side and his organisation was only providing a platform, he clarified.
He said the response was good. “In 2008 we conducted it in March. As many as 1,200 attended. Last year, when we conducted it in May, 1,500 attended. This year we expect a minimum of 1,000 candidates. A candidate can attend any number of interviews on the day.”
