As a group of students stood in a row, a trainer whispered a number to the last person, which he should communicate to the person next to him by patting on his shoulder. In the end, the first person should spell out the right number.

Incorporating effective tools of training, members of Oneness Organisation brought cheer to the students of SOS Village Youth Home at Peda Waltair in myriad forms on Sunday.

Those who assembled at the venue had an opportunity to participate in personality development training programme through diverse formats. Motivational videos, storytelling sessions, awareness programmes, cookery workshop, games, distribution of goodies — all formed part of the training session that engrossed the students of classes IX and X in an interesting manner.

The importance of goal-setting was well explained to the students by P.G.V. Pavan Kumar, a member of the organisation.

“We all have our own strengths and weaknesses. Identifying our strengths and concentrating on them makes a lot of difference in paving the way for success. If we can shift our focus from weakness to strength, we can do wonders,” he said.

Business Management students who donned the role of trainers said that such projects would help them hone their interpersonal and leadership skills. “Since we belong to business management stream, it gives a different kind of exposure when we interact with students, analyse their strengths, and present sessions,” say Monika and Sneha of GVP Degree and PG College (Autonomous).
