B.Tech student killed in accident

An engineering student died on the spot and two others sustained injuries in an accident on the National Highway near Boyapalem under Anandapuram Police Station limits on Thursday.

G. Girish Simhadri (22) of Kancharapalem, who was pursuing B.Tech third year at Raghu Engineering College, died and two other students of the same college sustained injuries.

Girish was pillion-riding to college with his friend Kaushik. Aditya, a B.Tech student of the same college, reportedly drove his motorcycle at high speed and hit the bike on which Girish was going.

Aditya reportedly lost control while trying to overtake and the three students fell off their vehicles.

Girish sustained severe head injuries. The other two students were admitted to a hospital, where their condition was said to be stable.
