Author Bobby Vardhan gets pat for his efforts

P. Bobby Vardhan, former Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Andhra University, released his fourth book on broadcast journalism, here on Sunday.

The book was released by Centurion University Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju in the presence of Prof. D.V.R. Murthy, Prof. Challa Ramakrishna and senior journalists Ramana Murthy and Kurra Vijaykumar.

Prof. Bobby Vardhan said there was a lot of gaps in broadcast journalism and the book would bridge them and serve as a textbook for the journalism students.

Prof. Murthy said: “Broadcast journalism is an evolving area and a lot of debate is going on and a textbook on the subject is the need of the hour.”

Appreciating Prof. Bobby Vardhan, Dr. G.S.N. Raju said the book was written in simple English and easy for students to understand.

The book was co-authored by Suman Kumar Kasturi.
