Blood donation camp organised in Visakhapatnam

65 volunteers donate blood which havs been handed over to A.S. Raja Voluntary Blood Bank

With hospitals and associations coming together to celebrate World Heart Day, communities in the city joined hands to contribute to the cause.

In line with the theme of the day, Rajasthani Sanskritic Mandal in association with Agarwal Mahasabha organised blood donation camp at the Mandal here on Sunday.

Some 65 volunteers from various communities came forward to donate blood. The units collected has been handed over to A.S. Raja Voluntary Blood Bank.

A free medical camp including dental, blood pressure and sugar-level check up was also held at the venue with the support of GITAM Dental College. Surprisingly, this time, very less women donors were rejected due to low Hemoglobin count, president of Marwari Yuva Munch Naresh Agarwal said. Secretary of Rajasthani Sanskritic Mandal Suresh Kumar Goyal said that the community wants to organise such camps and bring more awareness among people.
