Awareness on walking

The management of NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Station created an awareness programme on regular walking and prevention of vector-borne diseases as part of World Health Day programme.

The company organised a walk with the slogan ‘walk for health.’ Around 200 residents participated along with Group General Manager A.K. Samanta, general managers Santhosh James (Projects) and S. Narendra (Operations and Maintenance). ‘Mission of NTPC Simhadri Health Centre’ was later released by Mr. Samanta in the presence of Dr. V.V. Satyanarayan, Professor, Department of Medicine, King George Hospital. Dr. Satyanarayana enlightened the audience about the vector-borne diseases and explained on how to prevent malaria, dengue and Japanese Encephalitis. NTPC Simhadri Chief Medical Officer Bardhan was present.
