Attacks on CPI(M) offices condemned

Leaders of the Left parties came down heavily on BJP and RSS for allegedly attacking the offices of the CPI(M) in Visakhapatnam, Delhi and Dehradun. Addressing a meeting here on Monday they alleged that the BJP, RSS were indulging in attacks as they feared that the CPI(M) would come in the way of their ‘communal agenda’. The Left Parties adopted a resolution condemning the attacks on the Left parties at a meeting organised at Kalabharathi here on Monday. Party MP from Palakkad M.B. Rajesh alleged that the BJP and RSS followers were also targeting CPI(M) activists and leaders. He recalled the attack on CPI(M) national general secretary Sitaram Yechury in New Delhi. The attacks on CPI(M) leaders had increased after Narendra Modi had taken over as the Prime Minister. He also alleged that journalists were also being targeted by the communal forces.

CPI State secretary K. Ramakrishna criticised the BJP for attackING CPI(M) office in Visakhapatnam. He found fault with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for failing to condemn the attack, which was a blot in the history of peace-loving Visakhapatnam.

CPI(M-L) State leaders G. Vijay Kumar, CPI (ML-New Democracy) leader M. Venkateswarlu, MCPI (U) leader R. Nanaji Rao, SUCI State leader S. Govindarajulu, CPI State assistant secretary J.V. Satyanarayana Murthy, CPI(M) leader Ch. Narasinga Rao , and CPI (ML-New Democracy) leader Ravi were present.
