A battery car and a self check-in kiosk were inaugurated by the Airport Director Vinod Sharma at the Visakhapatnam International Airport here on Monday.

The battery car is provided at the aero-bridge corridor for transport of differently-abled persons and senior citizens from the boarding gate to the entry point of the aircraft. The self check-in kiosk enables passengers with hand baggage to get the boarding card without the need to stand in queues at the ‘check-in’ counters.

The new facilities have been provided by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to enhance the passenger experience at the airport in the New Year.

Mr. Sharma welcomed the passengers with flowers and sweets as part of the New Year celebrations.
