In an effort to facilitate Indian students to pursue undergraduate study programme in business and management in select Australian universities, the Australian College of Business and Management Pty Limited (ACBM) has introduced the diploma course called Australian Education Pathways programme here on Wednesday.

The six-month intensive training programme consists of eight units covering subjects such as emotional intelligence, personal productivity, leadership and influence, business etiquette and work-life balance, among others. With facilities like visiting Australian faculty, online service and training sessions through Skype and other networks provided at the local study centres, the programme is customised for those aiming at nurturing positive business skills and gain an international exposure.

Every unit will focus on practical assignments, case studies, presentations and collaborative assessments. “The course helps to fast-track international employability prospects and provides better exposure to students in terms of building team efficiency. The diploma is recognised for accreditation purposes and will grant up to one year exemption from a three-year undergraduate degree in Australian university, which turns out to be cost effective,” chairman of ACBM Peter O’ Hanlon said.

After partnering with a business school in Hyderabad, the institution has also plans to spread its wings by launching the course in Vijayawada and other parts of Andhra Pradesh shortly.

Apart from saving a year in UG programme pursued in Australia, post the course, a two-year work permit will also be offered to the students, summed up operations director of ACBM Rajeshwari.

Those who have completed intermediate are eligible to apply for the course where the package, including an optional two-week excursion to Sydney, will cost close to Rs.5 lakh.
