3-day Visakha Utsav from Dec.28: Ganta

City to host Tech-2017 from Dec. 16

International edu-tech conference Tech 2017 will be organised in the city from December 16 for three days, according to HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. Visakha Utsav will be organised for three days from December 28.

The Minister who had a meeting on Monday with officials on various programmes during the month said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would inaugurate the Tech Conference, being organised by UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development with the support of HRD Ministry of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

It will be attended by Education ministers of Malaysia, Nepal, UAE and 1000 delegates, including 200 from abroad, and vice-chancellors. Union Minister Y. Sujana Chowdary will attend the valedictory.

Heli tourism

Giving details of steps being taken to promote tourism, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate helicopter tourism on Dec. 16. Mr. Srinivasa Rao said two passenger ships and yachts from Istanbul would also be introduced as tourism attractions. Deputy Chief Minister N. China Rajappa, who is district in charge minister, will preside over the District Review Committee meeting on Dec. 23.
