‘Srimathi Silk Mark’ beauty pageant on March 5

Silk Mark Organisation of India, promoted by Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is organising ‘Srimathi Silk Mark 2017’, a beauty pageant exclusively for married women, on March 5.

Explaining details of the show, here on Saturday, senior executive of Silk Mark Organisation of India B. Chandan Kumar and senior executive of Central Silk Board Y. Srinivasa Rao said that the focus of the pageant was to highlight tradition and culture of India.

“This apart, we want to educate people on identifying authentic silk fabrics and encourage them to invest in quality products.

After receiving an encouraging response last year, we wanted to host the event for the second time in the city.

Besides ‘Srimathi Silk Mark’ title winner, top two contestants will walk away with exciting prizes,” says Mr. Srinivasa Rao.

Audition for Srimathi Silk Mark audition will conclude on February 26. .

On the occasion V-Team, an event management firm, will give awayawards to women who have excelled in various fields.

A poster was launched by Shobhana Smriti, wife of District Collector Praveen Kumar at the meeting.
