The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has suggested YSR Congress leader Sharmila to approach High Court and Supreme Court to know why bail was not sanctioned to her brother Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, who is accused in many financial irregularities cases.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, TDP State general secretary Varla Ramaiah said that Ms. Sharmila was accusing that the TDP and Congress were hand in glove and creating hurdles in sanctioning of bail to Mr. Jagan. The TDP was not powerful enough to stop the bail. The court denied bail in view of gravity of crime committed. The YSRC was hoodwinking the people with false and baseless allegations to hush up their misdeeds, he said, adding that the YSRC leaders should stop accusing TDP.

The jail authorities were allowing MLAs, MPs and party leaders recording them as friends in the visitors’ book to meet Mr. Jagan. It was against chapter-8 of jail manual, he said, adding no political party was allowed in the jails as per the manuals.
