: Telugu Desam Party Polit Bureau member Nara Lokesh on Tuesday promised that the demands and suggestions of language scholars would be taken to the notice of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking at the ‘Telugu Bhasha Samskruthika Sammelanam’ held on the occasion of the Sasthipoorthi celebrations of Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad, Mr. Lokesh offered an insight into the mindset of youth and their attachment towards culture and language.

He said: “To be frank, I am not competent to be here among you [scholars]. It’s only the greatness of late N.T. Rama Rao that made me to stand here. It is saddening that despite being the grandson of NTR, I don’t have any hold on language and culture. In one word, ‘we are the lost generation.’ Mr. Buddha Prasad and Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy were among those present.
