In an attempt to bring some relief to the citizens suffering from water woes, the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has made arrangements for supplying additional drinking water tankers in the three municipal circles, in view of the prevailing heat wave conditions.
Residents living in Circle-I can dial the phone number: 98665-14200, for booking the water tankers. Similarly, the residents of Circle II and Circle-III need to dial 98665-14202 and 98665-14191 respectively for the same.
Municipal Commissioner G. Veerapandian said that the corporation would establish is planning to set up free drinking water camps at several places in the city for the convenience of people, said a press release.
