Vaishnavi case: accused taken for narco test

May 02, 2010 03:00 am | Updated 03:00 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The city police on Saturday took P. Venkata Rao Goud and Morla Srinivasa Rao, the accused in the murder of Palagani Nagavaishnavi, to Ahmedabad for conducting narco-analysis test on them. Escorted by a 16-member police team headed by inspector K. Sravan Kumar, the two accused were taken by Navajeevan Express. As the local court responded positively on a petition filed by the police to conduct narco test on the accused and issued orders asking the police to conduct the tests between May 3 and 7, both accused were taken for the test.

Naga Vaishnavi was kidnapped on January 30 when she was going to school along with her brother Sai Tejesh in their car. She was killed on the same day and the police arrested her close relative Venkata Rao Goud and others on the charge of killing the girl.
