Speaking at a programme organised in connection with the ongoing Energy Conservation Week celebrations here on Friday, NEDCAP District Manager Srinivas Rao explained the shops and other establishment owners on the subsidies being extended by the NEDCAP to the consumers, to encourage solar systems.

The NEDCAP was providing 30 per cent subsidy for setting solar energy systems. Power can be saved up to 50 per cent, if solar lighting, heaters and other equipment is used, he said.
