A day after police successfully dealing the most sensitive issue between the ready to clash Arya Vysyas and Prof. Kancha Ilaiah’s supporters, scores of unruly youth on motorcycles and cars put people in Autonagar and Gurunanak Nagar areas to trouble throwing the prohibitory orders haywire on Sunday.
Committing to violations like quadruple and triple riding, helmet-less driving, wrong way and rash driving and even blowing police sirens the supporters of a Telugu Desam Party stormed the Autonagar 100ft road and Gurunanak Nagar main road at around 3 p.m. leaving locals panicked for a while. This is despite the imposition of Section 30 and Section 144 to prevent public gatherings in view of Prof. Ilaiah programme in the city. Fortunately, there was less traffic on the road as it was a holiday.
Responding to complaints. police said that permission was given for rally from Gunadala centre to Shubham Function Hall at Ramavarappadu Ring. “We have inquired into the matter and found that the motorcyclists gathered at different places before reaching Gunadala and also visited a fuel station at Autonagar,” said a police officer. DCP Kranti Rana Tata said that the use of police sirens for cars and motorcycles will be inquired and necessary action will be initiated. The event was oath-taking ceremony of TDP youth leaders of the new organising committee of Telugu Yuvatha wing of ruling TDP at the Shubham Function Hall.
