Two persons were killed when the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling, met with an accident at Timmapuram village in Yedlapadu mandal on Chilakaluripet-Guntur highway on Thursday morning.
Police said that the auto driver and a farmer hailing from Darsi mandal in Prakasam district were killed. The mishap took place when they were heading to Chilli Market Yard in Guntur.
Police were investigating if any vehicle had hit the auto from behind. The deceased were identified as Nakkavarapu Venkateswarlu (22 years) and Mekala Siva Kumar (48 years).
