March 01, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 02:52 pm IST - Vijayawada:

TTD Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao on Monday said that financial aid would be provided to the devotee, who lost his legs during a recent accident on the Tirumala ghat road.

Interacting with the officials, during a review meet at his chambers in TTD’s administrative building in Tirupati, Mr. Rao said that, though compensation is usually paid to the pilgrims who sustain injuries from accidents at Tirumala, a little more aid would be paid to the young devotee. Later, Mr. Rao instructed the officials concerned to use the services of Srivari Sevakalu to maintain pilgrim queues in the taken over temples of Upamaka, Vontimitta, Anantavaram and Chandragiri. He also directed them to use the services of beneficiaries of Vedasirvachanam scheme in Upamaka and Anantavaram temples.
