April 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:51 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Deputy Director of Prosecutions B. Ramakoteswara Rao has instructed Public Prosecutors (PPs) and Assistant Public Prosecutors (APPs) to stay in villages where they are posted and see that culprits are brought to book. He said action would be initiated against prosecuting officers who failed to submit the case details of their respective courts every month. “Prosecutors are requested to be aware of revised laws and orders and ensure justice to victims,” he added.

Speaking at a review meeting here on Saturday, Mr. Ramakoteswara Rao directed PPs and APPs to attend hearings without fail and cooperate with police in investigation of cases.

“Prosecutors are requested to maintain better coordination with investigating officers and submit case diaries by the month end.” he added.
