A 15-month-old toddler was run over by the school bus onto which his sister just boarded, at his house in Kuderu village of Pamidimukkala mandal on Thursday. According to the police, mother of the victim V. Aruna Kumari went to the bus to see off her daughter. Her son Geetha Krishna Manikanta was in tow. As Kumari was helping her daughter board the bus, Manikanta fell under its rear wheels, police said. On noticing it, Kumari alerted the driver. But as the driver accelerated the bus by then, Manikanta was crushed to death. Manikanta’s father V. Rajasekhar is an agriculture worker. Driver Seethala Subba Rao was arrested.
