Three engineering colleges of Krishna district get JNTU-K awards

Three engineering colleges of Krishna district bagged awards from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada. The awards were presented in connection with the Foundation Day of the university.

K. Lakshmi Srinivas, a final year ECE student of Sri Saradhi Engineering College, Nuzvid, received the Best Achiever Award in academics. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), KakinadaVice-Chancellor G. Tulasi Ram Das, Rector K. Satya Prasad and Registrar E.V. Prasad presented the award.

The student scored 93 per cent marks in his three years of academics among all the institutions/branches under the university, said Sri Saradhi college principal S. Sridhar.

NSS unit award

The MVR College of Engineering and Technology NSS unit programme officer K. Sridhar received the Best NSS Unit award from the university.

The award was presented for taking up a number of service activities in Kanchikacharla village in the district, said institution principal K.V. Sambasiva Rao.

Similarly, Nimra College of Engineering and Technology, Ibrahimpatnam, physical director M.S. Khan received the Best Physical Director award from the university VC, Rector and Registrar, said the institution deputy director Syed Gulam Ghouse.

The award has been presented for successfully organising South Zone Inter-University Tournaments, said the institute academic director T. Narayana Murthy, principal K. Venkateswarlu and media coordinator S. Mastan Vali.
