District Collector Babu A. released the official mobile application of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam in the run-up to Dasara festival on Monday. People can download it from Google Play Store by typing Sri Kanaka Durga Temple Vijayawada.
It has icons titled Services, Gallery, Events, Dasara, Alankaras, News, Information, Sevas, Darshanam, Route, Ghats, Management, Cultural Programmes and Visitor Statistics that provide exhaustive details for the devotees. It also shows a toll free number 18001217749. Releasing the app, Mr. Babu suggested to the officials and technical teams to ensure that the app does not ‘hang’ due to simultaneous use by thousands of devotees, by backing it up with special computer servers.
