‘Technical glitches of e-POS fixed’

Krishna Collector Babu A. on Sunday said that technical glitches that were developed during the implementation of e-POS system at fair price (FP) shops were sorted out.

Speaking to the media during ‘World Consumer Rights Day’ celebrations here, he said: “The problem occurred on the first three days after the launch as dealers had failed to log it on properly, but we are now implementing it successfully. I visited a few villages and found that dealers are implementing the system effectively,” he said.

He said the e-POS system was introduced as per court orders to ensure correct measurement while purchasing commodities from FP shops. As many as 52,000 people utilised the service in the country on Saturday. Rules say that the dealers have to open their shops by 8 a.m. But through this facility, the we came to know that the dealers were not opening their shops on time, he added.
