A school teacher was arrested on the charge of molesting girl students in Ventrapragada ZP High school at Pedaparupudi mandal on Wednesday.
The police said that Telugu teacher K. Ramakrishna, who has been working in the school for the last two years, was allegedly misbehaving with girl students of classes VI and VII.
Unable to put up with the harassment, a few students informed their parents about the teacher’s advances. The parents then approached the teacher on Wednesday and roughed him up. Admitting his misconduct, the teacher tendered an apology in writing to the parents and sought their pardon.
However, principal Ramakrishna informed the DEO about the incident. The DEO suspended him and ordered an inquiry.
Sub-Inspector Bhaskar Rao said the accused was arrested following a complaint given by the parents and the students.
