Barely a month after he stepped down as Chief Minister, Jai Samaikyandhra Party chief N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday toured a few areas in Krishna district, where the Telugu Desam Party has regained its support.
Mr. Reddy hardly had any supporters on the second day of his visit to the rural pockets.
The former Chief Minister did not even stop his convoy at Pamarru, where he was supposed to address the public, as there was no crowd.
Mr. Reddy, accompanied by former MP G.V. Harsha Kumar and JSP Pedana MLA contestant V. Vasudeva Rao, toured Pamarru, Nimmakuru, Guduru and Pedana, considered TDP strongholds.
“I came to the people after quitting the Chief Minister post. But TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSRC president Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy are coming to the people with their own strategies,” he said.
‘Vote out the Congress’Justifying the need for starting a new political party, Mr. Reddy called upon the public to vote out the Congress in the general elections. Speaking on the BJP and the Jana Sena floated by actor Pawan Kalyan, Mr. Reddy said people of the State must realise how the BJP had its hand in the division of the State, which was against the will of the people.
