‘Supply uniforms, books in time’

District Collector M. Raghunandana Rao on Wednesday directed the authorities to supply uniforms and books to students before schools reopen on June 12.

Interacting with the departments of Social Welfare, Education and Rajiv Vidya Mission, Mr. Rao said it was the responsibility of officials to ensure that students got books and uniforms by June 12. Necessary steps should be taken to provide mid-day meal to schoolchildren, besides two uniforms to each, he said.

The Collector instructed the authorities to ensure that there were no dropouts and asked them to put in efforts to provide all facilities for re-opening social welfare hostels. He also directed them to inspect hostels
