The Samaikyandhra Krishna District Students JAC has differed with the Visakhapatnam Students JAC over blocking the release of films in which relatives of Union Minister K. Chiranjeevi have acted.
Krishna Students’ JAC chairman Devineni Avinash, addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, said that the Samaikyandhra movement does not target any individual. Condemning the decision of the Visakhapatnam JAC, Mr. Avinash urged them to withdraw the ban.
He said that the students’ JAC in Krishna would work to foil all attempts to stop the release of the films. He said that several fans of Mr. Chiranjeevi were fighting against the division of the State.
“Just because TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to the Central Government saying that his party did not object to division of the State should we stop the release of film star Balakrishna’s movies,” he asked.
Mr. Avinash said no bandh call was given for educational institutions, but some persons masquerading as JAC and Congress workers were going around asking institutions to close down.
