Resuming his ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ padayatra at Mosalipadu here after a two-day break due to the MLC election Code of Conduct, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Thursday that the government has failed on all fronts and it was tarnishing the TDP’s image to derive electoral mileage in 2014.

Major concern

Inflation had become a major concern for the people particularly the skyrocketing price of rice. The market intervention measures by the departments concerned were not helpful in curbing the price, he said.

While the people were deeply mired in a variety of problems, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was busy protecting his own turf and shielding the tainted Ministers, the TDP president said.

Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy was ridiculing ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ having failed himself in addressing the people’s issues.

The ruling party would pay the price for its follies, he said.

Taking a dig at the YSRC, Mr. Naidu said the party was in crisis with its president Jaganmohan Reddy facing serious allegations. He amassed wealth when his father was the Chief Minister and he was now feigning ignorance.

“The TDP is with the people and it will do its best in relieving them from the clutches of Congress and YSR Congress whose single-point agenda is to gain power.”
