Sidha takes stock of satellite bus stations

August 14, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 09:30 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Transport Minister Sidha Raghava Rao on Saturday visited the satellite bus stands set up for the convenience of Pushkaram pilgrims.

The Minister inspected the bus stands set up at Siddhartha Engineering College, NTR Health University and Y.V. Rao Estate. He also assessed the free food distribution and health check-up centres at these bus stands.

Additional services

At the APSRTC bus station, he interacted with the commuters and enquired about the facilities. He said since the crowd was expected to increase in size on Sunday, the RTC officials would have to run additional services.

He wanted the officials to review the situation and be ready to cater to the needs of commuters.

He then visited the command control centre at Durga ghat and examined the situation at various ghats.

APSRTC Executive Director (Administration) Venkateswara Rao was also with him.
