Seminar on social plays at Siddhartha College

The Telugu department of P.B. Siddhartha Arts and Science College will organise a seminar on ‘Plays in Telugu – Social Awareness’ ( Telugulo Sangika Natakalu – Samajika Chaitanyam) on the institute campus on December 12 and 13.

Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad and Silicon Andhra Association founder president Kuchibatla Anand will be the chief guests at the inaugural function, said principal M.V.N. Padma Rao and director Vemuri Babu Rao.

Event organising secretary Maruthi Rao said students, researchers, artistes and writers would attend the two-day programme. More than 100 papers will be presented at the seminar, he said.

Participants will also review plays including Kanyasulakam, Maa Bhoomi and Boya Bheemannagari Saangika Natakalu , Mr. Babu Rao said.

Siddhartha Academy president Nalluri Venkateswarlu, secretary Paladugu Lakshmana Rao, script writer M.S. Chowdary, Andhra Arts Academy secretary Golla Narayana Rao and professors from various universities will attend the seminar.
