School of architecture and planning to come up at Vijaywada

Foundation stone of School of Planning and Architecture was laid down by Minister of State for Human Resources Development D. Purandeswari in Vijayawada on Monday at Government Polytechnic campus.

The new institution’s campus would sprawl over seven acres of land and once complete can enrol 105 students.

The school was being run for last two years at Acharya Nagarjuna University premise, Guntur district.

Director of the institute Dr. Shovan Saha told reporters that the intake of the institute is 105, out of which 75 seats would be allocated for Architecture and 30 seats for Planning.

Once the new building of the institute comes up certificate, diploma and post graduation courses will also be offered. So far the institute provides only degree courses.
