The new diesel version of Maruti Suzuki has been launched in the city by State Bank of India Deputy General Manager (Business and Operations) Hannah Rachael Mani. The bank official formally launched the car on the showroom premises of Varun Motors Pvt. Limited in the city on Friday and handed over the keys to the first buyer. The company achieved sale of 2 lakh cars in this variant in 37 months and in the latest version launched on Friday, 52 changes have been made, said the Varun Motors Executive Director R.C. Raju.
Major changes
The major changes included front look, electrically adjustable rear view mirror, dual tone interiors, etc.
The per litre mileage of the vehicle has been improved from 21.1 kmpl to 23.2 kmpl, he added. The Chief Executive officer Srinivas said that the car at the lowest end would be available at Rs.5.46 lakh and goes up to Rs.6.40 lakh.
