The Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway will commence registration for mango indents from April 4 (Thursday) at Nuzvid railway station. The Divisional Railway Manager, in a statement here on Wednesday, said interested individuals/farmers, mango growers, merchants, traders, hundekars or associations who want to transport mangoes by rail from Nuzvid railway station to Adarsh Nagar Delhi would have to register their demands at Nuzvid railway station as per the following procedure.
Indents would be accepted at the Nuzvid Station from 8 a.m. on April 4, on collection of the prescribed wagon demand registration fee. The indents will be accepted for following types of wagons VPU/VPH/BCX/BCN/BCNAs round-the-clock at the rail station and each individual/farmer /grower/merchant/trader/ hundekar/Association can place indents for full rake consisting of 42 BCN/BCNA.
The applicant or his authorised representative should be present to place the indents, which will be accepted on first-come-first-served basis.
For coaching stock, indents will be accepted for the number of VPU/VPHs available in each rake, subject to a minimum of 20 VPU/VPH plus one SLR. After the rake is placed, the VPU/VPH/BCX/ BCN/BCNAs would be allotted against the pending indents and the rake would be cleared on completion of the loading duly observing all commercial formalities and operational requirements.
The prescribed procedure for registration of indents must be scrupulously followed, the DRM clarified.
