A housewife, Shaik Husna (31), allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence at Bhavanipuram in the city on Thursday night.
Husna recorded her statement through selfie before taking the extreme step. In the statement, she alleged that she was subjected to harassment by her husband and in-laws. She wanted her two children to be taken care of.
She was married to one Janpad, who works in an automobile showroom, ten years ago. The couple had some argument over registration of land and later she resorted to the extreme step. The Bhavanipuram police registered a case and took the accused into custody on Friday.
