Ravi Shankar to take dip today

Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will witness the Krishna Pushkarams on Wednesday and take a holy dip at the Punnami Ghat, according to D. Srinivasa Raju, senior teacher of the city unit.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that Mr. Ravi Shankar would arrive in the evening on Wednesday and would have a darshan of goddess Kanakadurga. He would also take part in the Krishna Harathi at Ibrahimpatnam. “He is taking part in the river festival as a government guest and will address and interact with the city elite on ‘Achieving excellence through leadership’ from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at A 1 Convention Hall at Brundavan Colony on Thursday.

Mr. Raju said the Art of Living volunteers numbering more than 100 were actively involved in social service activities at the pushkarams.

He said AOL was one of the largest spiritual organisations spread over 160 countries for the last 35 years spreading breathing techniques and knowledge to people from different walks of life.
