Secondary Education Minister K. Parthasarathy will inaugurate the third phase of Rachabanda programme in Penamaluru mandal on Monday. He will distribute pensions to 1,150 persons, ration cards to 1,030 persons, house construction sanction letters to 238 beneficiaries, interest-free loans amounting to Rs.1.40 crore to women, sanction letters under ‘Bangaru Talli’ and financial assistance to the SCs and STs during the inaugural function, according to an official release.
In a separate statement, Mr. Parthasarathy appealed to the weaker sections and other eligible beneficiaries to make use of the programme to which government attached top priority. A total of 16 lakh white ration cards and 6.60 lakh pensions would be distributed in the State. Coupons would be given in respect of ration cards that were already sanctioned, till June 2014. Certificates would be distributed to 50 lakh beneficiaries of ‘Bangaru Talli’ scheme.
Civic amenities
Mr. Parthasarathy said due emphasis would be laid on providing civic amenities and solving various problems faced by the people. Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar has appealed to the people to utilise the opportunity and take their grievances to the notice of officials concerned.
Meanwhile, the Information & Public Relations Department is conducting ‘Kalajatas’ during the programme in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and all municipalities and villages for spreading public awareness about various development and welfare schemes being implemented by the Government.
