Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi on Sunday said problems relating to Polavaram project, including funds, would be sorted out in a fortnight and promised Central help to Andhra Pradesh in completing it by 2018.

Speaking to mediapersons after Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu met her in New Delhi on Sunday, she said Polavaram was a national project and nation’s pride and the Centre would leave no stone unturned in completing the project. Nobody need to have any doubt on that count, as the Centre has a plan to bring in large extent of land into cultivation throughout the country. Mr. Naidu too said the Centre had given an assurance that there would not be any problem with the funding of Polavaram. It was prepared to render all assistance to the State for the completion of the project by 2018. He was accompanied by Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and a few TDP MPs.
