CPI(M) city secretary Ch. Babu Rao and others submitted a memorandum to Municipal Commissioner G. Ravi Babu urging him to take necessary steps to withdraw the proposal to increase property tax.
Mr. Babu Rao said that the Commissioner brought the proposal before the Council to increase the property tax from October 12, 2012. The increase would burden the people to the extent of Rs.100 crore.
