The Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET) was held peacefully at two centres in the city - Siddhartha Medical College and PVP Siddhartha Engineering College at Kanuru - on Sunday under tight security and the watchful eyes of special observers posted by NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS).

A total of 15,194 students had registered, while 1,777 were absent, according to sources. Vice-Chancellor T. Ravi Raj personally supervised the arrangements in view of the cancellation of the test held on March 2 following allegations of question paper leak, which turned out to be true.

Results in May

Registrar of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences S. Babulal said the results and schedule for counselling were likely to be declared in the first week of May.
